A recent business lunch (honest!) ended with ice cream on the Santa Monica Pier.
Grabbed this with my iPhone, added Pop Art and Halftone filters in the BeFunky app, then a frame from Snapseed, and Instagram punch. Easy Magic!

In the shadow of the Hollywood sign, which overlooks from a nearby hilltop, Day of the Dead memorializes and celebrates the dead in one of the most unique settings possible…the Hollywood Forever Cemetery (yes, it’s a real place). A beautiful setting every other day of the year, this cemetery comes alive (pun intended) on Dia de Los Muertos, LA-style.

I’m always drawn to sad, broken dolls in antique stores. I grab a shot with my iPhone, and then MESS. THEM. UP. It’s so easy to do with Snapseed, from Google Nik Software.
Don’t judge. 🙂

My friend found a great Utah Barn Tour PDF online recently, and off we went. This was the prettiest one we found, in Richmond, Utah. The “Hi” sign made us grin!

Drive-by shooting in Portland. This is the third frame of an HDR shot, while driving. I kinda like it.

I spotted the concrete whale first — a rapidly-disintegrating whale over an empty swimming pool — but it was enough to make me turn around on narrow Pacific Coast Highway and head back to Westport (north of Mendocino). It was then that I saw the whale tail, buried in the yard a few feet from the pool and…that adorable house, just feet from the Pacific Ocean with an unobstructed view. It looks like it should be on top of a wedding cake.
